I think, ?f you use to together card reader and mp3 player, this will be best project for me. because you haven't to remove to sd/mmc card. you can connect to computer directly for writing or reading. anyway thanks for everything...

The SD card reader isnt used in any serious sense in the project. I'm just using it to dump files from my computer on to the SD cards.

The SD card is connected directly to the micro. with the SD Card sockets from Molex and read using the embedded C sd/mmc and fat16 drivers that I've written.

I am not really sure what to make of the autorouter yet. I think it would be difficult to route it by myself. The problem I'm currently having (that you can see in the PCB above) is the fact that the DAC (the small chip in the middle) is a custom library item that I made and it doesnt seem to want to connect the pins.

I think I have to figure out the proper way to draw the package in the library editor or find another SSOP-16 packaged chip that I can steal the package from.

Thanks for the comment..

this pcb really sucks, not because of you it is because of the autorouter of eagle, better to draw the pcb by hand. keep going. greets

congradulations
i've been working on a way to use sd cards with my pic chips. formating it to the fat16 file system will help me in some of my projects.

Thank you for posting your project online. I'm very interested - looking forward to reading about your progress! I'll keep checking back for updates. Also thanks for the minty mp3 link, I hadn't heard of that one.
